To help deliver a benefits program that will continue to evolve and grow with us, we have transitioned from Manulife to Sun Life. This is a critical first step in the journey of modernizing the benefit offerings at IMAX. Your benefits coverage will not change as a result of this transition, but your drug card and the plan policy number will. You will submit any claims incurred prior to September 30, 2020 to Manulife. All new claims on or after October 1, 2020 will be submitted to Sun Life. Sun Life began this transition process by sending communications directly to employees in September.

Access to Virtual Care

Telehealth gives you access to health care providers from the comfort of your home through digital audio-visual technologies, such as FaceTime, Skype, Zoom or dedicated telehealth applications. 

UnitedHealthcare expanded access to telehealth to help you stay in your home and reduce exposure to the virus. 

These visits are also ideal for urgent care treatment of other illnesses, like the seasonal flu, allergies, pink eye and more.

Global Employee Assistance Plan


As part of your benefits, EAP services are available at no extra cost, for you and your family. This includes referrals, seeing in-network clinicians and initial consultations with mediators or financial and legal experts.
